Spain boss Luis Enrique has hilariously warned one of his best players, Ferran Torres against doing the ‘baby celebration’ if he scores a goal.

Torres, who joined Barcelona from Manchester City several months ago, is dating Luis Enrique’s daughter Sira.

Speaking from Spain’s camp in Qatar, Enrique responded to a cheeky question on what he would do if Ferran Torres celebrated by putting his thumb in his mouth.

Typically, when a player does such a celebration, it is to signify that a baby is on the way or at times it could be a tribute to an already existing toddler.

“If Ferran Torres scores a goal and celebrates with the baby finger in his mouth, I'll instantly bench him,” said the former Barcelona boss, to the amusement of everyone.

He added that if Torres failed to heed his warning, he would 'never step on a football pitch' again under Enrique's direction.

As reported by Daily Mail, the Spanish gaffer also opened up on whether he had a problem with players engaging in romantic sessions on the night before matches.

"I don't mind players having intimacy the night before matches, but I draw the line at group revelry," he stated emphatically.

Spain’s emphatic win

The Spaniards, who won the World Cup in 2010 by scoring just 8 goals in the entire tournament, were in top form in their opening game against Costa Rica.

Ferran Torres scored twice, including from the penalty spot, as his nation cruised to an emphatic 7-0 win - the biggest winning margin in Qatar so far.
