Barcelona will be hoping for some funds from the World Cup to keep them afloat next season, as well as the sale of some players. Memphis Depay could be on his way out, freeing up some extra cash, while the retirement of Gerard Pique also helps the cause.

As reported by Daily Mail, Laporta confirmed that they were trying to get La Liga president Javier Tebas to be a bit more lenient with the FFP rules.

'We and some LaLiga clubs are also trying to convince LaLiga to be more flexible and allow us other types of interpretations that can make Barcelona strengthen itself even more. It is more flexible in the Premier League than in Spain and it doesn't make much sense to me,” he added.

Barcelona set to change team logo as La Liga club considers upgrading club crest after 20 years

Catalan journalist Carles Aguilar Catalán revealed that FC Barcelona's new logo won't be an altered version of the 2018 edition but likely a bigger rebrand.
