The club are desperate to bring back the Argentinian maestro and Messi has considered the possibility. One person who is really excited about the chance to possibly play along Messi is Robert Lewandowski. As reported by Goal, the Polish striker talked about what a dream it would be to play alongside Messi in Spain.

"Messi is absolutely brilliant with the amazing passes he plays to the striker," said Lewandowski.
"He has this brilliant connection with strikers. He knows how to put the ball into the box, between the lines...he's the best in the world at that," he added.

Rivals at the World Cup

While Lewandowski is dreaming about playing alongside Messi, he first has to contend with playing against him. Lewandowski will captain Poland while Messi will captain Argentina at the World Cup. As reported by The Athletic, the two sides are drawn together in Group C. Saudi Arabia and Mexico are the other two teams in the group.
