Ronald Araújo may be sidelined with an injury, but the Barcelona defender is still very much behind his teammates.

Araújo suffered an injury while on international duty with Uruguay in September and hasn’t featured since.

While he physically can’t be there for his fellow teammates, Araújo still shows his support by watching every game and cheering them on.

Araújo was given plenty to cheer last night (November 8) as the Blaugrana came from behind to beat Osasuna in La Liga.

The Catalan club found themselves down to 10 men from grabbed a late winner thanks to a Raphinha header. The goal itself was a beauty, and Araújo couldn’t contain his excitement.

The defender shared a video to his Instagram stories showing his reaction to the goal, and the moment was quickly shared on Twitter as well.

Araújo’s injury update:

The defender’s World Cup dreams were thrown into doubt when Araújo was injured in the game against Iran. He underwent surgery for a thigh issue, and his estimated recovery time was approximately six to seven weeks.

Araújo was included in Uruguay’s preliminary squad, and Football Espana reported that the national team coach would speak to Barcelona about releasing the play to go to Qatar.

Ronald Araújo’s participation at this year’s FIFA World Cup remains doubtful after he agreed to undergo surgery for a thigh injury.

Araújo picked up the injury while on international duty with Uruguay against Iran, Sports Brief reported.

Araújo was forced off in the first minute of the game against Iran, and it was initially believed that the injury wasn’t too severe. Further evaluation revealed that he requires surgery.
