Reports suggest Araujo most likely suffered an abductor muscle injury and hip flexor.

The in-form defender was hooked off immediately for Agustín Rogel and it remains to be seen how much he spends on the sidelines.

Araujo joins Jules Kounde, Frenkie De Jong and Memphis Depay already on the sidelines after one game for their country this week.

With the return leg clash against Bayern Munich in the Champions League and the El Clasico encounter with Real Madrid all coming up after the international break, Xavi Hernandez will be hoping it is a minor issue.
