Barcelona defender, Hector Bellerin has declared his love for La Liga side, Real Betis and is considering joining the Spanish club in the future.

The Spanish right-back spent the 2021/22 season on loan at Real Betis from Arsenal and was vocal about falling in love with the city and the team.

According to Football Espana, Bellerin has now openly declared his desire to rejoin Betis after he paid a visit to the club’s training ground after Barcelona players were given 3 days off.

Real Betis experienced financial difficulties and narrowly avoided Financial Fair Play sanctions last season which meant they couldn’t sign new players this summer despite their interest in Bellerin.

Hector Bellerin played 23 games for Real Betis last season while on loan from Arsenal and helped the Spanish club win the Copa Del Rey trophy.

Barcelona to discuss contract renewal with Bellerin in January

Meanwhile, Hector Bellerin could stay at Barcelona beyond the current season as the Catalan giants have been impressed with the Spanish right-back since his arrival this summer.

The La Liga side are looking to extend the contract of Bellerin in January as the Barcelona board tries to keep the former Arsenal star at the Camp Nou, Barca Universal reports.

Bellerin joined Barcelona on transfer deadline day this summer and penned a one-year deal with the Blaugrana after terminating his contract with Arsenal.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Hector Bellerin will make an emotional return to Barcelona this season after agreeing to a deal to join the Blaugrana on transfer deadline day from Arsenal.

The 27-year-old, who is a product of Barcelona’s La Masia academy, returns to the Camp Nou 11 years after leaving for Arsenal in 2011.

Bellerin terminated his contract with the Gunners in order to secure his move back to the Catalan giants this summer.
