According to Football Espana, Atletico Madrid has now entered talks with Barcelona to reduce the price of Griezmann’s clause to €25m.

Due to Griezmann's €20 million salary, which would exceed Barcelona's spending cap, it is reported that the club is keen to avoid having him return to the Camp Nou.

Jordi Alba unhappy with Barcelona

Meanwhile, Barcelona vice-captain, Jordi Alba is angry with the Catalan giants following their late bid to offload him in the summer transfer window, Barca Universal reports.

Barcelona had agreed a deal with Serie A giants Inter Milan which would see them loan Alba out to the Italians for a year while bearing 60% of his wages.

However, the veteran defender refused to leave Camp Nou as he decided to stay put and fight for his place in the present Barcelona squad.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Barcelona are getting ready for a legal battle with rivals Atletico Madrid over the club’s tactics to reduce the game time of Antoine Griezmann.

The Catalans are preparing to take Rojiblancos to court as they believe Atletico Madrid are trying to avoid paying a transfer fee for the French forward, who is on a 2-year loan deal.

Griezmann must be transferred on a permanent basis for €40 million if he featured in over half of Atletico's matches in his first year at the Metropolitano Stadium.
