Diletta's promise appears outlandish and overzealous considering the current form of Barcelona, who have recorded a minimum of three goals in their last four matches across all competitions.

However, it appears that the 31-year-old journalist who presents the Serie A broadcasts for DAZN is banking her hopes on the recent head-to-head records between the two European powerhouses.

The German giants have won their last four ties against Barca, with their last loss against the Catalans coming in 2015.

Her promise has aroused more interest from football fans across social media, with many yearning for Barcelona to topple over Bayern.

@ChiagozieManuel pleaded with Barcelona to beat Bayern to witness the unimaginable:

"Please FC Barcelona you can do it, You have to do it for us."

@BrilliantBNC1 added:

"Barca please do this naa...we can't wait."

@ShaffatShubro tweeted:

"Please FC Barcelona you can do it, You have to do it for us."

@sulaimon_fathiu promised not to miss the game:

"I will never miss this match."
