Knowing how his former side plays, Lewandowski has now made some tactical suggestions to Xavi ahead of the game, Sportskeeda reported.

Lewandowski asked Xavi to consider sacrificing an attacking player for an extra midfielder. If Xavi approves of Lewandowski's request, he may have to change his favoured 4-3-3 system.

The reasoning behind Lewandowski's request is so Barca keeps more of the ball and forces Bayern to chase it.

The game marks the first time the striker will return to the Allianz Arena following his move from the Bavarian giants to the Blaugrana. It's also the first time the two sides will meet since Bayern's 8-2 drubbing of the Spanish side.

While many believe that Lewandowski will receive a frosty reception upon his return, Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann is looking forward to his former striker's homecoming, Bavarian Football Works reported.

Bayern Munich manager Julian Nagelsmann names Barcelona’s biggest threat ahead of Champions League tie

Julian Nagelsmann says he is looking forward to reuniting with former Bayern Munich striker, Robert Lewandowski when Barcelona visits the Allianz Arena on Tuesday night.

Bayern Munich will be hoping to get back-to-back victories against Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League to go top of Group C after defeating Inter Milan on matchday 1.

According to the BBC, Nagelsmann has now named Robert Lewandowski as Barcelona’s biggest threat, confessing that the Poland forward is still very dangerous in front of goal.
