Raphinha Promises To Unleash Trademark Celebration if Barcelona Win UEFA Champions League

Barcelona winger Raphael Dias Belloli, popularly known as Raphinha, is already dreaming big and hoping for victory in the UEFA Champions League.

The Brazil international has been impressive since joining the Catalan giants from Premier League side Leeds United in the summer transfer window.

With Xavi Hernandez's team having a great start in both La Liga and UEFA Champions League, Raphinha is targeting silverware in June next year.

"If we win the Champions League, I’ll walk across the Camp Nou pitch or wherever we play the final on my knees - I did that back at Leeds as well, same thing," Raphinha said in his interview with La Vanguardia, quoted by Marca.

Raphina already walked the length of the pitch on his knees last season after he aided Leeds United to escape relegation.

It appears the knee walking is an act of faith. Per Twitter account @LeedsEverywhere, walking on the the knee is a ritual done by South Americans to repay god for a wish requested or a way of thanking god for granting a wish.

It is not known yet whether Raphinha had wished to win the Champions League with Barcelona.

Barcelona last won the Europe's biggest club competition in 2015 after they defeated Juventus 3-1 in the final.

Meanwhile, Barcelona’s financial woes did not stop the Catalan club from being ranked amongst the top most valuable football clubs in the world.

The Catalans have been ranked as the second most valuable football club in the world by American business magazine Forbes in its latest publication.

According to Barca Universal, Barcelona has a valuation of $5 billion and comes second just behind La Liga arch-rivals Real Madrid who has a valuation of $5.1 billion.

Fans have been raving over the duo after another impressive performance against the New York Red Bulls in their final pre-season friendly.

Dembélé and Memphis Depay got onto the scoresheet for Barca as they beat the Red Bulls 2-0, ESPN reported.
