Gerard Deulofeu believes Barcelona supporters are set to enjoy another successful spell under the management of Xavi Hernandez after some disappointing few seasons.

Barcelona has started the 2022/23 season superbly as the Catalan giants have amassed 4 wins in the club’s last 5 games as they remain unbeaten in all competitions.

According to Barca Universal, Deulofeu who started his career at Camp Nou now believes Barcelona will return to its glory days of winning trophies under Xavi.

“I am very happy for him. I’m glad for the people who are at Barça that people like Xavi or Joan Laporta have returned to the club. I think an amazing time is coming.
“This season you can already begin to feel that a beautiful year is coming for the Catalans. Barça is in good hands. Xavi is magnificent, the ideal coach.”

Barcelona have not lost a single game so far in the new season, winning four of their five fixtures in all competitions.

Meanwhile, one of Barcelona’s top summer signings, Frank Kessie has revealed he has adapted to life at the Camp Nou seamlessly, Football Espana reports.

The Ivorian midfielder arrived from Serie A giants, AC Milan on a free transfer during the summer, but has been quietly impressing people at the Ciutat Esportiva.

Kessie made his first start for Barcelona against Viktoria Plzen in Wednesday’s UEFA Champions League clash, opening the scoring in a 5-1 win.

The former AC Milan player beats Sergio Busquests 15 minute UEFA Champions League debut goal against FC Basel in 2008.
