Last night Lewandowski continued his rich vein of form, scoring a hattrick against FC Viktoria Plzen in the UEFA Champions League.
The hattrick not only took Lewa to the third spot on the all-time goalscoring charts in the tournament but also took him above Benzema on the list. The hattrick continued an impressive feat among the two players as well.

The last five hattricks in the Champions League have now been scored by either man.
The impressive feat started in November 2021 when Lewandowski scored for Bayern Munich against Benfica. He then scored another hattrick for Bayern against Red Bull Salzburg in March 2022. Benzema then scored the next two hattricks, first against Paris Saint-Germain in March 2022 and then against Chelsea in April 2022, Wikipedia confirmed.
Before that, Sebastien Haller was the last man who managed to net three goals in the tournament.
