FC Barcelona and Manchester City shared the spoils in a mid-season charity match at the Spotify Camp Nou on Wednesday, August 24.

The two giants of European football crossed swords in the special friendly game to raise funds, and awareness, for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS).

The match was in honour of former Barcelona goalkeeper Juan Carlos Unzué who is suffering from ALS.

The game itself played out a thrilling 3-3 draw but what mostly caught attention was a brilliant piece of play from Barcelona's third-choice goalkeeper Arnau Tenas.

With seven minutes remaining to the end of the game, when the score was 3-2 in Barcelona's favour, the young goalie pleased the crowd with a move that almost turned into a blunder.

The 21-year-old didn't control the ball well after a back pass and miraculously avoided Kevin De Bruyne's pressure attempt.

Some fans thought there was a nutmeg, but no, Tenas just beat De Bruyne with a smart move.

Barcelona and Manchester City last faced each other in a Champions League game six years ago but will not do battle once again, this time under different circumstances. Fan Nation reported that all game proceeds will be donated to the Luzón Foundation, whose mission is to improve the lives of ALS patients.

The game was held in honour of former Barcelona goalkeeper and coach, Juan Carlos Unzué. The Barca legend was diagnosed with ALS over two years ago.
