Ansu Fati’s goal-scoring record in La Liga as been hailed as the best in the league after the Barcelona winger netted against Real Sociedad last weekend.

The 19-year-old has bagged just 16 goals in his entire career in La Liga but that has not prevented him from earning the accolade as the striker with the best minutes-to-goal ratio in the Spanish topflight.

According to the Tribuna, Fati averages a goal in La Liga every 115 minutes, a record that is better than Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema who averages a goal every 137 minutes in the competition.

Fati has been plagued by injuries in recent years which has made the Barcelona forward complete the full 90 minutes once in his La Liga career.

The 19-year-old is expected to be one of the leaders of Barcelona’s attack this season alongside summer signing Robert Lewandowski and Ousmane Dembele.

Ansu Fati getting close to 100% fitness

Meanwhile, Barcelona medical staff are happy with Ansu Fati’s physical state following the 19-year-old’s recent struggles with injuries.

The Catalans feel that Fati is getting close to 100% fitness and consider him ready to start games in subsequent La Liga matches for Barcelona SB Nation reports.

Ansu Fati was electric off the bench in FC Barcelona’s 4-1 win over Real Sociedad last weekend, assisting two goals and scoring a third to help the Blaugrana pull away from Real Sociedad.

He replaced Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, and the Blaugrana faithful were quick to let him know how much he had been missed.
