"Didier Drogba, Yaya Toure, Kolo Toure and Boubacar Barry are my favourite football legends," he told Barca TV.

Messi is regarded by many football faithfuls as the greatest player to feature for Bareclona.

The Argentine captain spent 20 years at the Camp Nou after arriving from his native country as a teenager.

He went on to become the club's record appearance holder and top scorer, scoring 672 times in 778 games.
