In the clips, Puig could be heard saying, "Ferran Torres? Guardiola didn’t even want him. He played 12 matches last year."

Torres didn’t even play 12 games for City. He only made seven appearances for the English champions before moving to Barcelona.

Who is Riqui Puig?

Puig was considered as Barcelona’s next big talent but failed to make an impact in the first team. The player himself revealed that he turned down offers from Chelsea and AC Milan to stay with Barcelona.

Former Barcelona B team manager Gerard Lopez recently talked about Puig’s time at the club and said that it wasn’t the player’s fault that he failed to live up to expectations. Lopez added that Puig wasn’t given enough opportunities to flourish into a world-class star, Football Espana reported.

Talented Barcelona youngster set to join MLS club Los Angeles Galaxy

Barcelona midfielder Riqui Puig is expected to join Los Angeles Galaxy on loan for the remainder of the 2022 campaign.

The 22-year-old has reportedly reached an agreement in principle with the Major League Soccer club, according to Spanish journalist Relevo’s Albert Rogé.

The Catalan giants are finalizing a deal that would either include a buy-back option or a percentage of a future sale.
