The real reason behind Robert Lewandowski's insistence to swap Bayern Munich for FC Barcelona despite having a year left on his contract has been revealed by his former representative, Cezary Kucharski.
According to Kucharski, Lewandowski's main intention in angling for a move to Barcelona is to make a statement in the Spanish La Liga.
Lewandowski racked up more goals in comparison to Benzema in the just-ended season but Kucharski believes the Polish striker wants to prove he is the best striker on the planet, ahead of Real Madrid's Karim Benzema.
"Lewandowski has no dreams. For him, playing football is a job and he is very professional. Real Madrid and Barca are at the same level," Robert Lewandowski's former agent Cezary Kucharski has told the media, as per Cadena SER.

"He wants to prove that he is better than Benzema, that's another reason to go to Barca.
“Barca and Lewandowski are going to fight for this signing. I think he is going to sign for Barcelona, I see it possible."
The wantaway centre-forward has a year left on his current contract with the reigning German champions and with Bayern putting a price tag on his head, it appears his dream of playing for the Catalan giants will become a reality.
Lewandowski has scored an incredible 110 league goals in the last three seasons, compared to Benzema’s tally of 71 in that period.
