  • A friendly match between Spanish giants Barcelona and the very best of Australia's footballers served up a meme-worthy moment for the ages
  • The encounter between La Blaugrana and the A-League All-Stars saw an Adama Traore on both sides of the pitch, with both of them scoring in an entertaining match
  • This sent social media into a frenzy, with memes popping up all over the place, particularly one related Spider-Man that has become the staple of the web

Barcelona's travels across the world have served up a coincidence that proved rather amusing on the streets of social media.

The men from Catalonia took on the best players from Australia's top division, the A-League All-Stars at the Accor Stadium in Sydney. The visitors won the match 3-2 courtesy of goals from Ousmane Dembele, Ansu Fati and Adama Traore, while Reno Piscopo and Adama Traore scored for the hosts.

You read that correctly: Adama Traore was on the score sheet for either side. As reported by SPORTBible, coincidentally, there were two Adama Traores on the pitch that night

One, from the Ivory Coast, plays for Western Sydney Wanderers, while the other more famous one rejoined his boyhood club from Wolverhampton Wanderers in January. Naturally, the coincidence was the subject of much humour, with the famous multiple Spider-Man meme the most obvious of the lot.

When FC Barcelona posted to their Twitter account: “Goal A-League All Stars. Adama Traoré.", one user hilariously replied: “Adama Traore scored, but for who Chris Kamara?”

Xavi hails new Barcelona signing Adama Traore from Wolverhampton Wanderers after impressive display against Atletico Madrid

Adama Traore is hugging the headlines for the right reasons in Spain after putting up an impressive performance in his second debut for Barcelona against Atletico Madrid.

As reported for Sports Brief, Traore who started his footballing career at the famous La Masia made only one appearance for the Barcelona first team before leaving for playing opportunities.

Xavi has now showered praises on the 26-year old Spanish International insisting the right-winger will help the Blaugrana achieve their goals this season.
