Jerry Sikhosana is weighing in on the South African national team and coach Hugo Broos.

Legs of Thunder has called for Broos to be replaced as Bafana Bafana coach amid the loss to Morocco and his recent comments regarding the state of football in South Africa.

Broos commented that South Africa lacked quality players to compete on a global stage and that the level of the Premier Soccer League wasn’t very high, Sowetan Live reported.

The comments upset many people and the former Orlando Pirates striker thinks Broos now needs to be replaced.

Sikhosana also believes that the South African Football Association should bring back Pitso Mosimane as the national team coach, Soccer Laduma reported.

"We've gone backwards since we've introduced the European coaches. Even the standard of our players has dropped and we really need solutions," - Sikhosana said.
"God willing, I hope coach Pitso Mosimane comes back and rescues Bafana Bafana. I think it is time. He has proven himself with so much hate going on about him in Egypt, forget about politics, let's look at his achievements, he added.

Pitso Mosimane is currently without a job after requesting his release from Al Ahly.

The fallout over Hugo Broos’ comments continues.

The Bafana coach stunned South Africans yesterday when he admitted that the quality of players in the country are not up to scratch.

Broos made the comments during a press conference, in which he was supposed to provide a report back on the game against Morocco, Sowetan LIVE reported.

The Bafana coach has shocked many people with his comments today, in which he stated that the standard of players were very poor in the country.

Broos was speaking at a press conference where he admitted that the country doesn’t have quality players to compete around the globe, IOL reported. Broos also spoke about the difference in quality between Bafana and their last three opponents, Morocco, France and Ghana.
