Memphis Depay has joined Atletico Madrid from La Liga rivals Barcelona in the winter transfer window.
The 28-year-old Dutch-born Ghanaian signed a two-and-a-half year deal. The deal includes an option for Yannick Carrasco to join Barcelona in future.
Depay immediately joined his new teammates in training as he begins a new journey in his career.
Having joined Barcelona in the summer of 2021, the former Manchester United attacker enjoyed a successful first season, finishing as the club's top scorer in La Liga.

However, this season has been tough for the Dutch international who has made only four appearances for Barcelona.
Depay is seen as perfect replacement for Joao Felix, who joined Chelsea on loan in the winter transfer window.
The tricky winger started his career with local club Sparta Rotterdam before joining PSV. His exploits in the Dutch Eredivisie saw him move to England for Manchester United.
After a difficult spell, he moved to France to play for PSV before joining Barcelona in 2021.
Depay agrees to join Atletico Madrid
Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Memphis Depay's Barcelona adventure is finally coming to an end.
The Dutch star has been linked with a move away from the Spanish club for some time now and is finally on the brink of making a move.
Trusted journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Delay will be now joining Atletico Madrid. The Madrid and Catalan sides have agreed on a deal worth approximately €3 million, and Depay just has to complete his medicals.
Depay to leave Barcelona
Netherlands winger, Memphis Depay is on the verge of leaving Barcelona in the January transfer window to join La Liga rivals, Atletico Madrid.
Atletico are desperate to sign a winger to replace Joao Felix, who joined Chelsea on a six-month loan deal, and has identified Depay as the perfect candidate.
According to Barca Universal, Depay is open to joining La Rojiblancos this January on a six-month loan deal, with his contract with Barcelona set to expire in the summer.
