Atletico Madrid Kickstart “Plan B” to Sell €125million Star

Atletico Madrid has finally gotten the perfect plan to offload high-earning Joao Felix from their squad following the club’s recent financial struggles.

Felix has had a falling out with manager Diego Simeone and the Spanish club is looking to take advantage of the star’s World Cup success to get rid of him.

According to Madrid Universal, Atletico Madrid has come up with a ‘plan B’ in their bid to offload Felix which involves sending the Portugal star on a loan deal.

The loan deal will only cost roughly €8 million, which will allow other clubs to finance the deal as long as they are ready to pay the player's full salary for the remaining part of the season.

Felix’s initial transfer fee of €140million has been a turn-off for many clubs but Atletico Madrid believes the loan option is a deal many teams will be willing to take with Manchester United and Arsenal already favourites to sign the forward.

Joao Felix enters final talks over Premier League move

Joao Felix has entered what is described as 'final talks' with his agent Jorge Mendes over a move to the English Premier League, Daily Mirror reports.

Arsenal and Manchester United have been heavily linked with the Portugal forward with the Gunners desperate to add a new signing in January following the injury of Gabriel Jesus.

Felix would be a perfect short-term replacement for Jesus in Arsenal but also an ideal swap for Cristiano Ronaldo who had his contract with Manchester United terminated.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Manchester United are considering a January transfer move for Atletico Madrid star Joao Felix.

The Red Devils are expected to enter the market for a new centre forward to take the place of Cristiano Ronaldo who recently departed the club.
