Football Espana reported that the player is now growing tired of his new role at the club and could be considering an exit.

Félix believes that Diego Simeone will still be the manager of the club next season, and so his playtime will be limited once more.

Félix frustrated with recent snub

The talented youngster was also left on the bench for Madrid’s Champions League encounter against Club Brugge and didn’t hide his frustration about the decision.

With time running out and the game tied at 0-0, Simeone opted to bring on defensive-minded Axel Witsel onto the field ahead of Félix. The player angrily returned to the sub’s bench but threw his training bib on the ground.

The match finished 0-0, but Simeone has since defended the decision not to bring the attacker on, Daily Mail reported.

What did Diego Simeone say?

He explained that he wanted to bring on Félix on the left but noticed that Club Brugge were able to launch counter-attacks every time Atletico pressed forward.

To sure up his midfield and sustain the attacks, he opted to bring on Witsel instead.

Club Brugge earns Atletico draw

Surprise package Club Brugge booked their place in the Champions League last 16 with a 0-0 draw against Atletico Madrid on Wednesday, Sports Brief earlier reported.

The Belgian side are guaranteed to progress from Group B after keeping Diego Simeone's side at bay in Madrid, finishing the game with 10 men after Kamal Sowah was sent off in the final stages.

Brugge stunned Atletico last week at home with a 2-0 win and although they dropped their first points of the competition at the Metropolitano, still secured qualification for the knock-out rounds.
