Atletico Madrid have promised to take swift action against those found guilty of racially abusing Real Madrid's Vinícius Júnior.
A section of Atleti fans targeted the Brazilian player, who chanted Vinícius is a monkey' before the Madrid derby the past weekend.
Footballers, coaches and even the Prime Minister of Spain condemned the events, leading Atletico also to promise to take action
As reported by Marca, Los Rojiblancos have said they will ban any members involved in the racist display outside the stadium. In a statement released by the club, Atletico said it was unacceptable and emphatically condemned the actions.

"These chants cause us huge disgust and indignation and we will not allow any individual to hide behind our colours to utter racist or xenophobic insults. At Atletico Madrid we have zero tolerance for racism," the statement read.
The statement added that the club has always been an open and inclusive space for fans of different nationalities, cultures, races and social classes.
"We will not stop until we expel those involved from the Red and White family because they cannot be part of it," Atletico's statement concluded.
La Liga are also currently investigating the matter, and Spain's Secretary of State for Sport, Jose Manuel Franco, promised action will be taken against those found guilty.
