- Philippe Coutinho could possibly be on his way to Arsenal this summer

- The Gunners are considering a loan move for the Brazilian who is yet to impress at Camp Nou

- Meanwhile, Barcelona and Arsenal will battle for Joan Gamper trophy on Sunday, August 4

Philippe Coutinho could return to the Premier League as Arsenal and Barcelona are reportedly planning to meet over the possible transfer of the Brazilian forward this summer.

The 27-year-old joined the Catalan side in January 2018 in a five year deal valued around £142 million.

However, his impact has not really been felt by the fans, having scored just 21 goals and bagged 11 assists in over 75 appearances for the club.

And SunSport quoting Spanish new outlet Sport report that both clubs are expected to finalise the deal when they face off for the Joan Gamper Trophy on Sunday, August 4.

Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool were initially interested in landing the winger but seems to have backed out with few more days to the end of transfer window.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are hoping they can sign the Brazilian on loan as they hope to add depth to their squad for the new season which kicks off next weekend.

The Sun reveals that Emirates head of football Raul Sanllehi will allegedly lead the negotiations as he plans to make another major signing despite being cash strapped.

In spite of their low budget this summer, Sanllehi has managed secure the services of Nicolas Pepe in a deal valued around £72 million, which is the club's record signing.

Though the payment will be spread over the period of fives years as agreed with French league side Lille.

The north Londoners have also completed the signings of Gabriel Martinelli, William Saliba – who immediately rejoined Saint-Etienne for a year – and Dani Ceballos on loan from Madrid.
