Van Persie speaks on Arsenal winning the EPL

Van Persie, who spent eight years at the Emirates Stadium, has insisted he would be happy to see Arsenal secure the crown.

The former Dutch forward is not in good books with Arsenal fans after his controversial summer move to rivals Man United in 2012, where he went on to win the Premier League title.

However, the legendary striker has appeared to suggest that there is no bad blood between him and the Gunners, with the 39-year-old making clear his feelings about his former side's potential title triumph.

"They've got [had] a couple of difficult games. They got the three points there, so that is what a champion's team is made of. They've been proving that. But the last stretch is always the difficult one, so it'll be interesting to see," Van Persie told Sky Sports.
"But my personal feeling is that they will go for it - that they will win the league. It's been a while, so I'm happy for them to win it," he added.

Arsenal tipped to bottle EPL

Sports Brief also reported on an interesting prediction on how the Gunners might bottle the title the Premier League title in their remaining 11 games.

Former Tottenham player and pundit Jamie O'Hara is convinced Arsenal will not be champion this season, looking at the games they have left in hand.

He said there were still clashes coming up against second-placed Man City, against Newcastle away, and against a Chelsea side pulling it together.
