Former Arsenal striker, Emmanuel Adebayor joined his first coach and some young footballers in Togo for a training session.

The legendary forward took the chance to inspire the youngsters, who are hoping to make it big in football.

Adebayor also spent some time with the man who nurtured his skills, taking to social media to share his excitement.

"Revisiting my old pitch and reconnecting with my first coach brought back so many great memories! Grateful for the lessons I learned and excited to share my experiences with the next generation," he wrote on Instagram.

The ex-Togo captain is arguably the greatest player to come out of the small west African country.

Adebayor enjoyed a stellar career abroad, playing for AS Monaco, Arsenal, and their North London rival, Tottenham Hotspur.

He also had a spell at Manchester City before playing for Crystal Palace. The Togolese legend also featured briefly for Real Madrid on loan in the 2010/11 season.

Adebayor was crowned African Player of the Year in 2008 and went on to win the Copa del Rey in 2011 with Los Blancos.

His greatest accomplishment with the Togolese national team was leading his country to the FIFA World Cup in 2006.

Adebayor enjoys holidays with family

Sports Brief also reported on Adebayor appearing to have smoked the peace pipe with his family by holidaying with them in Lomé, Togo.

The former Arsenal and Manchester City player is loving life after a successful football career, which is yet to officially come to an end.

Adebayor is yet to announce his formal retirement from the sport after last signing for Togolese club, Semassi.

Adebayor spotted partying in Kenya

The ex-Arsenal striker might not be on the pitch to display his football skills, but Adebayor showed off his moves.

The former Togo international was spotted in a Kenyan nightclub having a good time, Sports Brief previously reported.

In a video that has since gone viral on social media, Adebayor is seen with a female fan displaying his dancing skills.
