The Italian midfielder started from the bench as the Gunners took on relegation-threatened Everton at Goodison Park on Saturday, February 4, during the early kick-off.

The former Napoli star had just a few months left on his deal with the Blues who risked losing him on a free transfer in the summer.

Jorginho makes Arsenal debut
Mikel Arteta wasted no time in handing the 31-year-old his debut in an Arsenal shirt as he named him in the squad to face Everton.
However, the Italy international had to contend with a place on the bench as Arteta settled on his preferred trio of Granit Xhaka, Thomas Partey, and Martin Odegaard.
With the scores still goalless, the Arsenal boss introduced Jorginho in place of Partey on the hour-mark.
However, the former Chelsea star had a debut to forget as his new side conceded shortly after his introduction, with James Tarwoski firing home the opener.
The incident sparked hilarious reactions from fans, with one posting:
"Jorginho comes on and Arsenal concede, you can take Jorginho out of Chelsea but you can’t take Chelsea out of Jorginho."
"Jorginho came in and Arsenal has conceded. I’m this life, never get someone who’s close to Chelsea around you."
"They changed Partey and brought Jorginho and Arsenal has conceded Chelsea really fraud Arsenal."
A fourth added:
"Jorginho comes on and Arsenal are down, man brought his Chelsea losing spirit."
Cucurella's reaction to Jorginho leaving
Sports Brief had earlier reported that Chelsea full-back Marc Cucurella could not quite believe it when he was informed Jorginho was on the verge of joining Arsenal from the West Londoners.
After missing out on Moises Caicedo, Arsenal turned to the next best thing – Jorginho, who is set to sign a deal that will keep him at the Emirates for 18 months.
Everything is all but done in terms of turning Jorginho into an Arsenal player, and he was pictured in an Arsenal shirt on transfer deadline day.
