Former Chelsea midfielder Jorginho completed a shock move to London rivals Arsenal yesterday. The story began and developed quickly with both clubs confirming later in the afternoon, as reported by ESPN.

The 31-year-old Italian midfielder is certainly not the fastest player, but fans were even more amazed at the fact that a referee outran him while his team was being hit by a counterattack, as noted by Daily Star.

The £12m player, signed after Moises Caicedo move failed as noted by Mirror, was in the final stages of a 2-1 loss to Liverpool in 2019 was outpaced by 37-year-old Premier League referee Michael Oliver which was unbelievable as he was the defensive midfielder who should protect the defence.

Jorginho joins legendary list

Sports Brief earlier reported that Jorginho joined a list of players to have played for the two London clubs after making his shock exit from Stamford Bridge.

Brazilian winger Willian was the recent player to make a switch from West London to North London at the end of his career and is back at Chelsea's backyard with Fulham.

William Gallas, Petr Cech and David Luiz are the other three most recent footballers to wear the blue and red jerseys of the London rivals.
