High flying Arsenal

Meanwhile, Arsenal are high flying in the league, and their latest 3-2 win over Manchester United cemented their credentials as the team to beat to the Premier League title this season.

The Gunners are now five points ahead of their closest rivals Manchester City, having played a game less.

McKennie is only one of the many transfer targets for Arsenal, as Mikel Arteta admitted his side needed to reinforce their midfield in January, as per Football London.

Arsenal fans have their say on FA Cup vs Premier League

As far as Arsenal’s aspirations are concerned, sections of fans have urged Mikel Arteta to prioritize the Premier League over the FA Cup, as Sports Brief reported.

The Gunners are up against Manchester City in the fourth round of the FA Cup , but Arteta faces a dilemma on whether to risk hurting his squad’s efficiency by going for a strong line up against the Citizens.

Pep Guardiola recently hinted at letting go of the title race after defeat to United in the derby, which could imply his focus might shift to other competitions like the Champions League and FA Cup.
