Arsenal fans are raving about their summer signing Oleksandar Zinchenko after the former Manchester City player put in another stellar performance as the Gunners dispatched Manchester United.

Zinchenko, a midfielder by trade but deployed as a left-back and pulling strings across the pitch has brought a different energy and mentality to Mikel Arteta's team.

The Ukrainian warrior revealed the mentality he met in the squad when he joined and how he has helped engineer a talented squad into having a winner's mentality as revealed by Evening Standard.

Zinchenko defeats soft Arsenal mentality

As revealed by Sky Sports, Arsenal signed Zinchenko from Arteta's former club Manchester City for £32m in what is proving to be a steal for the Gunners, and a regret for Pep Guardiola.

Speaking after the win over Manchester United as quoted by Arsenal Buzz, the Ukrainian praised the performance and said the team are going in the right direction and there is also space for improvement.

“Of course, there is a lot of space to improve but we are [heading] the right way. When I arrived, the quality I saw, I realised that we have everything to achieve the big things,” he said.

He further claimed many of the squad were not accepting the reality that they have what it takes to win the title, but now they do after their impressive run.

“I started to speak in the dressing room [that] we needed to think about the title. Some of them were laughing, but no-one is laughing now.” he added.

The 26-year-old won nine major honours at Manchester City including four Premier League titles and if anyone knows what it takes to lead a title charge, it is him.

Nketiah warns Premier League defenders

The shift in mentality that Zinchenko has infused in the Arsenal squad is already rubbing on the squad, as Sports Brief earlier reported, Eddie Nketiah sends message to PL defenders.

The striker, deputizing for injured Gabriel Jesus, has scored in every game except Newcastle since he was trusted to lead the line for the Gunners.

He drew Arsenal level against Manchester United yesterday and also narrowly beat the offside trap to score the winner in the 90th minute and now provides a good headache for Arteta when Jesus returns.
