  • Mikel Arteta has now quelled fan's fear over the attitude and age of their new signing

Arsenal took an egg to the face after their priority target Mykhailo Mudryk was hijacked by their London rivals Chelsea, in a quick turn of events last week Saturday.

The Gunners moved to sign 28 year old versatile forward Leandro Trossard, after the Belgian's relationship with Brighton head coach Roberto De Zerbi broke down in recent weeks.

Fans have questioned his signing over his professionalism and age, which does not fall in line with Arsenal's policy of signing players under 25, but Arteta has backed him for immediate impact, as revealed by Goal.

“I’m sorry for the last period, but I still would like to wish Leandro good luck for the future.” he said.

He left the UK with his agency releasing a statement that only a transfer could be the solution as the relationship can not be mended, as revealed by Sport Bible.

Arteta dispel fears over Trossard

Speaking during the press conference ahead of the crunch time against Manchester United as quoted by Metro UK, he highlighted where he could fit in.

‘It’s very simple. The squad can absorb right now a player of 28-years-old. With the right experience, the right versatility and the right quality. And as well with the right price, for sure. And we had no questions about that,’ he said.

Todd Boehly trolls Trossard

Sports Brief earlier reported that Chelsea owner Todd Boehly joined a Twitter debate over who is a better player between Mykhailo Mudryk and Leandro Trossard.

The American businessman liked a tweet asking to use like or retweets from fans to pick which is the better player, a usual norm on the social media platform.

Mudryk compared statistically better than Trossard this season but the quality of the English Premier League can not be compared to that of the Ukrainian Premier League.
