Arsenal midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan has finally tied the knot with fiancee, Betty Vardanyan, after the two exchanged vows in an exclusive romantic ceremony in Venice, Italy, on Monday, June 17.

Mkhitaryan, who could not wait to give his fans a glimpse of how the ceremony went down, took to his Instagram to share their photo at the wedding venue.

The football star accompanied the snapshot with a heart emoji, writing: "Marry me and stay with me forever."

The newly-weds were a true reflection of true love as they boarded a water taxi to make their way to the wedding reception.

They went on to share a smooch on the back of the boat, entwining their fingers while holding hands, evidencing their strong bond.

The couple has in the past kept their love journey tightly under wraps and are yet to speak publicly about it.

It is, however, understood they engaged in November 2018, only to tie the knot seven months later.

Be that as it may, their romance story seems to be quite meteoric, given they were first being linked in the summer of 2018.

Betty is the daughter of Armenian politician, Mikael Vardanyan.
