Darren Bent has been impressed with Thomas Partey's performances for Arsenal this season, describing the Ghanaian as key to the North London club.

Partey scored a belter as Arsenal thrashed Nottingham Forest 5-0 to reclaim top spot in the English Premier League.

After the game, Bent took to social media to praise the 29-year-old and believes his influence has been the main factor in Arsenal's bright start to the season.

Arsenal are yet to lose a game in the English Premier League with the Ghanaian in their squad. Their only defeat in the league against Manchester United came without the former Atletico Madrid star.

Partey's form is good news for the Black Stars of Ghana, who are preparing for the World Cup in Qatar next month.

Partey nets stunner against Nottingham

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Thomas Partey registered his name on the scoresheet, after netting a screamer in Arsenal's thumping victory over Nottingham Forest.

The 29-year-old fired from outside the box to score the fourth goal of the game for Arsenal, who won the match 5-0 at the Emirates Stadium.

Winger Gabriel Martenelli broke the deadlock after just five minutes, but the Gunners laboured for an elusive second in the first half.

Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey has earned plaudits from famous British broadcaster Piers Morgan after his performance for Arsenal against Liverpool, Sports Brief has reported.
