Thierry Henry has issued a fiery Premier League title warning to his former club Arsenal.

The Gunners have emerged as genuine title contenders this term after a blistering start to the season.

Mikel Arteta has led his charges to nine Premier League wins from their last 11 matches, dropping points only on two occasions.

The fine run of results has them topping the charts with 28 points, two points ahead of second-placed Man City.

There are now suggestions that the north Londoners are in a pole position to challenge City for the domestic crown.

However, Henry is 'cautiously optimistic' about Arsenal's chances of winning the Premier League this term.

Despite the Gunners' encouraging run, the ex-striker refuses to get ‘carried away’, warning his former side not to celebrate yet.

"It’s 11 games; you celebrate the title after 38 games, not before that. That’s me, I have always had that mentality," Henry told CBS Sport via Metro UK.

"What we are talking about right now with Arsenal is hope. Manchester City can talk, Man City can be loud because we have seen it before with them, and we know what it takes for a team to stay with them," he added.

Having dropped points in their last Premier League outing against Southampton, Arsenal will be desperate to bounce back to winning ways when they play bottom-placed Nottingham Forest in their next domestic fixture.
