Unai Emery's return to the Premier League means that fans can look forward to more 'Good Ebening' press conferences from the head coach.

Emery was confirmed as Aston Villa's new boss, who will now take over from Steven Gerrard, who was sacked last week.

This will be the second time the Spanish tactician will be Premier League following his eventful stint at Arsenal in 2018. He served as Arsenal's head coach for 18 months before he was sacked after a run of disappointing results.

During his reign at Arsenal, Emery made a name for himself as he always hilariously started his press conferences with a 'Good Ebening' opener.

Emery was always on the receiving end due to his shaky pronunciation of Good Evening. It would be interesting to see if he will carry on with the 'Good Ebening' catchphrase in England.

His first matches will be against Manchester United in the Premier League and the League Cup.

Emery's honours

The 50-year-old has an impressive European CV, leading Sevilla to three consecutive Europa League titles. He also won the 2021 title with Villareal.

During his time at PSG, he led the club to the Ligue 1 title, among other domestic trophies, before replacing the legendary Arsene Wenger at the Emirates, where he lasted for 18 months.

Aston Villa appoint Unai Emery as new boss

Sports Brief has also reported that Aston Villa have confirmed an agreement with former Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain Head Coach Unai Emery to take over as the club's boss on November 1st.

Villa sacked Steven Gerrard last week following a poor run of results that saw the club hover above relegation places.

Emery joins the club on the back of a very impressive CV that has seen him win multiple Europa League titles.
