The draw leaves the Gunners still on top of the table, two points ahead of Manchester City, who comfortably beat Brighton 3-1 on Saturday, according to Sky Sports.

Ben White's strange interview

Arsenal defender Ben White provided the assist to Xhaka at St Mary's. He delivered an awkward interview after the match, leaving many fans bewildered.

"I think the first half was really good. We created loads of chances and we should have scored more. We should have probably put the game to bed in the first half and we didn't."

Some Gunners fans felt the defender's interview lacked emotion as he was interviewed by Jonas Bergh-Johnsen. His thoughts on the second half were curious, according to Sportbible.

"There's loads of reasons. I think we performed the opposite to the way we did in the first half and that showed."

The Viaplay reporter also asked a bizarre question about physicality, and White's comments were odd.

"Yeah, I don't think we were bullied. Yeah, I'm not really sure where we got bullied? Yeah, we obviously didn't deserve to win the game. So yeah, that's it."

Ben White provides Arsenal assist

Sports Brief earlier reported on Ben White providing his second league assist during Arsenal's clash with Southampton.

The England defender provided an inch-perfect cross for Granit Xhaka, who powered the shot to give Arsenal the lead.

However, White and his defence counterparts failed to secure the clean sheet as Armstrong struck an equaliser for the Saints.
