Striker Gabriel Jesus has opened up on the difference between Arsenal fans and Manchester City fans in a telling interview.

Jesus is already a crowd favourite at the Emirates after securing a famous move from the Premier League champions in the summer.

He has hit the ground running at the Emirates, scoring five goals in his first eight Premier League appearances while also getting a couple of assists.

As part of BT sport’s coverage, the 25-year-old spoke to Rio Ferdinand where he gave an interesting account that highlighted the difference between the two English clubs as far as the fans are concerned.

"I was talking with him [Edu - technical director] about the first days when I signed here, I went to a Brazilian restaurant in London and I was waiting in my car outside and a lot of Arsenal fans came over to say welcome," the striker recalled.

Jesus noted that the behavior of fans in North London was far different from that in Manchester, a city where he spent five years playing for City.

"It is different from City, I think City had a lot of impact in the last 10/15/20 years and then before Arsenal had A LOT, I feel that welcome - the way they come to talk to me, to say: 'We are with you, we are supporting you', I was happy with the fans at City but it is different [here]."

The striker’s marriage with Arsenal fans certainly looks like one sent from heaven as he has continued to repay Mikel Arteta’s faith in him with solid performances.

On Thursday, October 6, he was at it again as he produced a filthy assist to set to Fabio Vieira for a goal against Bodo/Glimt in the Europa League.

Elsewhere, Sports Brief reported that Arsenal are targeting at least 2 more big Brazilian names in the January transfer window.

Despite their potent squad, Arsenal could take a dip back in the transfer market in January, with the club reportedly keen on signing Danilo and Douglas Luiz.

Aston Villa did their best to retain the services of Douglas Luiz in the summer, but Arsenal are not willing to give up in their pursuit.
