Arsenal summer signing Gabriel Jesus has broken his silence after he was snubbed from Brazil's squad ahead of the 2022 World Cup.

Jesus has been in hot form since completing a summer move to the Emirates Stadium from Man City, scoring four Premier League goals in seven outings.

However, despite his impressive run of form, the former City attacker was left out of the latest Brazil squad for the internationals.

The squad included man United summer arrival Antony and Paris Saint-Germain ace Neymar.

But speaking after his exclusion from the national football squad, Jesus insisted that he has no hard feelings for the decision taken by head coach Tite.

According to the Arsenal star, he respects Tite's move to overlook him, revealing he will be doing everything to make the cut for the World Cup travelling part.

"I respect the coach’s decision a lot, I respect Tite, the entire staff," Jesus told ESPN.

"As I said, I’m Brazilian, I’ll always root for the team. And I also respect the other players, who have a lot of quality. I’ll keep doing my best to have the opportunity again," he added.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Real Madrid forward Rodrygo de Goes has revealed the best Brazilian player he has played with.

Rodrygo, who has had a blistering start to the season, named former Barcelona star Neymar as his best Brazilian teammate, ahead of Real Madrid colleague and best friend Vinicius Junior.

Despite spending the past three seasons with Madrid and playing alongside a number of Brazilian teammates at the Santiago Bernabeu, the 21-year-old preferred Neymar.
