The Black Stars of Ghana have been handed a huge boost after midfielder Thomas Partey returned to training at Arsenal.

The Arsenal star suffered a muscle injury just before the Gunners played Fulham on August 27, 2022 and has since missed three games.

However, the 29-year-old has resumed training ahead of Arsenal's trip to Brentford and will now be available for Ghana's friendlies against Brazil and Nicaragua later this month.

Partey missed the victory over Aston Villa and the defeat to Manchester United in the English Premier League. He was also unavailable for the Gunners in the Europa League game against FC Zurich.

The former Atletico Madrid star is expected to be ready for Sunday's trip to Brentford as the league leaders hope to bounce back from the Manchester United defeat.

Thomas Partey has also been named in Ghana's squad for the international friendlies against Brazil and Nicaragua.

Thomas Partey set injury setback ahead of Fulham clash

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Black Stars midfielder Thomas Partey has suffered a thigh injury which kept him out of Arsenal's victory over Fulham on Saturday afternoon.

The Ghana international was excluded from the team due to a knock he picked up in training on Friday.

Moments before the game, Arsenal announced he would miss the game alongside defender Oleksandr Zinchenko.

Thomas Partey meets Sonebwoy in London

Multiple-award winning Ghanaian reggae dancehall star, Stonebwoy, has been spotted having a good time with Arsenal star Thomas Partey in London.

The two Ghanaian icons hail from the same town in Accra and have been friends for long, with Partey once walking onto the pitch with a Stonebwoy song in the background during his days at Atletico Madrid.

In a video posted on social media, Partey is seen enjoying the company of the 'most original' hitmaker.
