Like other Royalties, the Queen never revealed her true team. She, however, hosted Arsenal at Buckingham Palace in 2007.

This marked the first team that the Queen had hosted at her official residence. She was initially supposed to open the new Emirates Stadium but failed to do so, as she fell ill and her husband, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, did so on her behalf.

She made amends by inviting the first team led by legendary striker Thierry Henry to the Palace. The Queen took the team around the State Apartments before hosting the team for tea. Afterwards, Henry said,

Sports Brief has also reported that the English Premier League will 'almost certainly' be put to a stop temporarily following the passing on of Queen Elizabeth II.

The Queen, United Kingdom's longest-serving Monarch, passed on peacefully on September 8th at the Balmoral Castle. The United Kingdom has now been plunged into a 12-day official mourning period in which all political, sporting and comedy events have been cancelled.

This is part of the wider plan called Operation London Bridge which took effect once the Queen passed. According to Football London, there is a huge likelihood that these weekend's Premier League fixtures which were meant to kick off with a London Derby between Fulham and Chelsea, will be rescheduled.
