  • Former Paris Saint-Germain, AC Milan and Barcelona superstar Ronaldinho has touted Arsenal to finish in the top four and challenge on all fronts this season
  • Arsenal have beefed up their squad with the inclusion of Zinchenko, Fabio Vieira, goalkeeper Matt Turner, young winger Marquinhos and ex-Man City striker Gabriel Jesus this summer
  • The Gunners, who missed out on the top four positions last term, have begun the campaign on a bright note

Ronaldinho has tipped Arsenal to challenge Manchester City for the Premier League title and make the top four places this season.

Arsenal narrowly missed out on a top-four finish to bitter north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur last season but the 13-time Premier League champions look prime to finish in the last four this term.

The Gunners have bolstered the squad that finished in the fifth position last season with their acquisitions headlined by Man City pair Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko.

And ex-PSG, Barcelona and AC Milan superstar, Ronaldinho reckons Arsenal have what it takes to make the top four and also challenge for titles.

“Arsenal will get back into the top four this season with the signings they have made - maybe they can even achieve more and challenge for the title." Ronaldinho told Mirror.
"Manchester City look very strong and they will be favourites - but in football anything is possible.”

Arsenal are currently joint leaders of the Premier League with Manchester City, having scored six goals while conceding twice in as many games played.

The north London outfit will face AFC Bournemouth on Saturday, August 20 at the Vitality Stadium as Mikel Arteta's charges chase a third consecutive win of the ongoing season.

Ex-France international William Gallas snubs Liverpool, backs Arsenal to make Premier League top four

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that former Arsenal and Chelsea centre-half William Gallas has ruled out Liverpool from his top four predictions for the 2022-23 Premier League season.

Gallas, who won the Premier League twice with Chelsea and also featured for Arsenal and Tottenham during his playing days, believes the absence of Sadio Mane will take a toll on Liverpool's top four ambitions.

His forecast for the top four positions comes in sharp contrast to most of the predictions made by Premier League pundits, with many tipping Manchester City and Liverpool to wrestle for the English top-flight crown.
