Arsenal fans showed their class on Friday, August 5 as they chanted their former captain Patrick Vieira’s name in a nostalgic moment.

Mikel Arteta’s side ran out 2-0 winners on the day to kick of their campaign to a winning start.

In the end, it was defeat for Vieira’s men, but the former Arsenal man will have left Selhurst Park with a hint of warmness from the reception he got from the Gunners fans.

With the scores at 2-0, buoyed Arsenal fans turned their attention to Vieira as they chanted his name, presumably in a show of appreciation for what he had done for the club during his playing days.
