Pep Guardiola explains why Man City sold Gabriel Jesus

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola insists the club had to sell the likes of Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus because that is ‘how a business is sustained’.

The gaffer spoke ahead of the Community Shield clash against Liverpool where he shed some light on the sensational exits of the duo, as well as Oleksandr Zinchenko, who have all joined rival clubs.

Sterling departed Man City for Chelsea for £50m, while Zinchenko and Jesus joined Arsenal for £30m and £45m respectively.
