Ahead of their match against German outfit Nurnberg on Friday, Arsenal intensified their training and Arteta subtly showed the world that he still had it, six years after calling it quits on his football career.

He was an active participant in the training drill where he showed his sublime first touch as well as a classy piece of skill that would typically leave a defender for deal in an actual football match.

Arsenal also shared the clip in their social media, and fans were quick to point out that Arteta was pretty much still a football player, despite being 40.

"Boss still has the #sauce." One fan said.
"Sign the guy in blue up!! Our boss still has it.” Added another.
"Arteta still got it." Another fan commented.

In an equally impressive clip, Arteta also provided what was a classic midfielder assist to Hector Bellerin in the training session.

Later on, Arsenal featured against Nurnberg in what was their first of five pre-season outings.

Arsenal will kick off their Premier League season on August 5 with a game against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
