The Daily Mail reports that Arsenal are also looking to sell the former Sampdoria midfielder who is not part of Mikel Arteta's plans.

From the beginning, they told me that I didn't have a place, so I don't want to stay either because I suffered a lot, it cost me a lot to adapt and my idea is to go to Italy or Spain.

The Uruguayan made 35 appearances for Fiorentina last season scoring five goals in the process. He was part of Unai Emery's squad that made it to the UEFA Europa League final of 2019 but lost to Chelsea in Baku, Azerbaijan.

Arsenal have been busy in the transfer market with Arteta already acquiring Gabriel Jesus, Fabio Vieira and Matt Turner.

Arsenal fans ask the club to sign Serge Gnbary after missing out on Raphinha

Sports Brief had earlier reported that a section of Arsenal fans have taken to social media to voice their opinion on who the club should pursue this summer after they missed out on Leeds United star Raphinha.

The Gunners were hoping to seal a sensational transfer deal for the Leeds winger as Mikel Arteta continues his rebuild mission at the Emirates.

But rather than express their disappointment for missing out on Raphinha, a section of Arsenal fans have moved to suggest an option for the Leeds ace.
