According to The Sun, the transfer saw the Brazilian striker go from a young boy decorating the streets of his neighbourhood in green and yellow to signing a lucrative £4million-a-year deal with one of the biggest clubs in Europe.

The publication claims there is a chance the photos may have been taken when he was plying his trade with Palmeiras.

While at Palmeiras, the Brazil international reportedly pocketed a paltry £3,500 a year, with his earnings jumping to £75,000-a-week when he moved to the Etihad Stadium.

"I thought it would be harder, It hasn’t been easy, for sure, I changed my life completely, but I’ll never complain about it," he told ESPN at the time.
“I’m grateful for being here, realising a dream, playing in Europe, when I left Palmeiras, it was sad, but happy as well," he added.

Gabriel Jesus set for Arsenal move

The 25-year-old is now due to complete a summer move to Arsenal after spending close to five years with the Citizens.

His move to the Emirates will see his earnings potentially rise, with the Gunners expected to pay City £45 million for his services.

According to The Mirror, Jesus will be joining the north Londoners on a five-year deal, after the two Premier League rivals reached a deal over his transfer.

The switch will see him reunite with Mikel Arteta, having worked under him when the Spaniard was Pep Guardiola's assistant at Man City.

Arsenal fans want Serge Gnabry re-signed

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Arsenal fans have urged the club to consider making a move for Bayern ace Serge Gnabry after a transfer deal for Raphinha collapsed.

The Gunners were believed to be among the frontrunners for the signature of the Leeds ace before Chelsea hijacked the deal.

The Blues have reportedly agreed a £60million fee with Leeds to sign Raphinha this summer.
