Premier League side Arsenal have announced the signing of Portuguese midfielder Fabio Vieira ahead of the Gunners' campaign in the coming season in all competitions.

Last term, Mikel Arteta and his wards tried their best to qualify for the Champions League, but they were unable to get the ticket as they settled for the Europa League.

The North London giants also failed to win any title last season and Mikel Arteta and his coaching crew have been enjoined to do well in the coming term in the English topflight.

According to the confirmation by Arsenal, Mikel Arteta explained that he is happy to be having Fabio Vieira in his squad.

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how incoming Ghanaian forward Eddie Nketiah says he has an 'unfinished business' at Arsenal following his five-year contract extension with the Gunners.

The 23-year-old is out of contract at Arsenal at the end of the season but his performances this year have encouraged the Gunners to keep hold of him.

Nektiah made 92 first-team appearances and scored 23 goals since his first-team debut in 2017.

He finished last season in good form, starting Arsenal's last eight league games and scoring five goals.

Nketiah will wear the Arsenal's legendary No.14 - the shirt worn by all-time record scorer Thierry Henry.

The Ghanaian-bound striker took to Twitter to express his delight after extending his contract with the North London giants.
