Premier League greats Jamie Carragher and Ian Wright have contrasting views on the future of in-form Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah.

The 22-year-old forward has been in blistering form for the Gunners, scoring four goals in his last five games to resurrect Arsenal's Champions League ambitions.

With his current deal with Arsenal running out at the end of the season, Nketiah is at crossroads on whether to stay at Emirates or move on for more playing time.

Weighing in on Eddie Nketiah's future at Arsenal, ex-Liverpool defender turned pundit Jamie Carragher has suggested the red-hot striker looks elsewhere.

"Yes- [Arsenal should try to keep him] but I don’t think he’ll ever end up first-choice striker, so I think it would be better for him to move on," Carragher told Sky Sports.

But Ian Wright, Arsenal's second all-time top scorer, thinks otherwise and wants Nketiah to stay with his former employers.

"It's a great dilemma for him. I listened to him on the Beautiful Game podcast and he’s saying I’ve not had a run; I’ve not even had three games on the spin." Wright said as quoted by Football Ghana.

"If I can get three games in a row and I’m not doing it then I totally understand people saying I’m not ready, but he says just give me a run of games.

"If he can continue to score goals that are going to fire Arsenal into fourth then you have to say to yourself if he did leave Arsenal, he’s going to be playing Champions League. If he did leave Arsenal where’s he going that he’s going to be playing Champions League? He’s in a great position to stay. I’d love him to stay."

Eddie Nketiah appears on the radar of West Ham

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that English-born Ghanaian forward, Eddie Nketiah could sign for Premier League club West Ham United in the summer transfer window.

The in-form striker is out of contract at Arsenal at the end of the season but his recent performances have encouraged the Gunners to keep hold of him.

However, Daily Mail reports that West Ham are in pole position to sign Nketiah, with David Moyes desperate to add more fire power to his attack.
