The Sun now reports Tielemans could be on his way to the Emirates to link up with Arteta.

According to the publication, there is growing confidence from the player’s camp that the Belgian will be an Arsenal player next term.

Youri Tielemans linked with a move to Real Madrid and Man United

Reports on Tielemans closing in on a move to Arsenal comes at a time he has also been linked with a switch to Man United and Real Madrid.

It is believed the Red Devils were also keen to land the Leicester City ace - but their failure to qualify for the Champions League have given Arsenal an edge in the transfer race.

A move to the Emirates will significantly boost Arteta's midfield options as he will be an upgrade on the unsettled Granit Xhaka and Mohamed Elneny who will be out of contract this summer.

Meanwhile, Tielemans has just a year left on his deal at the King Power Stadium and has reportedly turned down offers of a new contract.

The 25-year-old has made 154 appearances for Leicester with 46 of those coming this season.

Arsenal cement top-four spot after win over Leeds

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Arsenal continued their recent purple patch of form with a 2-1 victory over relegation-threatened Leeds United at Emirates Stadium.

Nketiah's brace increases his goal tally to four goals in his last five games for Arsenal as he continues to repay the confidence reposed in him with goals.

The victory for Arsenal strengthens their hold on the fourth spot, going four clear points of closest rivals Tottenham Hotspurs ahead of the north London derby.
