Bukayo Saka was the man of the moment on Saturday, March 19, as he played a central role in Arsenal's 1-0 vital win over Aston Villa.

The youngster scored the only goal of the match at Villa Park as the Gunners held firm to it to bag the three points.

Saka's goal came just before the half-hour mark after his volley beat Aston Villa shot-stopper Emiliano Martinez to find the back of the net.

Bukayo Saka's goal makes Premier League history

While Arsenal's win at Villa Park was special, it was even more special for Saka who inked his name in the history books of the club and the Premier League.

The Englishman's goal was Arsenal's 2000th in the Premier League era, with the 20-year-old describing the landmark goal as "special" and an "honour."

"It’s special you know! It’s an honour to be among a lot of great goal scorers for Arsenal," he said as quoted by Mirror UK.
"We knew that today was even bigger and to get that result today, the three points it means so much for the rest of the season. We’re so happy," he added.

Arsenal slammed for Aston Villa celebrations

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Bernd Leno sparked wild celebrations at full-time after he denied Aston Villa an equaliser at Villa Park during stoppage time.

Ashley Young has now expressed his reservation with the manner in which Arsenal celebrated the victory, claiming it was like they had won the league.

Arsenal's win, meanwhile, helped them cement their place in the top four of the Premier League standings.
